Power generation cylinders:

Generating power from dams is an important, environmentally-friendly way to produce power. A radial gate, also called a tainter gate, is commonly used in dams and other power generation machinery. The distinct large hydraulic tainter gate cylinders from Rexroth are used to open and close the gate smoothly. Because technology is constantly changing and improving, Rexroth uses the newest cylinder measuring system to get the exact positioning of the tainter gate cylinders.

 

Ship lock cylinders:

Bosch Rexroth has automated the gate drives in a high number of locks around the world, including the world's largest hydro-engineering projects: the Three-Gorges Dam in China, and the locks on the Panama Canal.
